Merit Badge College 2006 Hanging Rock District

The cost to attend is $4.00 per person (that includes adults!)

Held at Troop 427 Scout Hut, Germanton.

FRIDAY, 15th Sept
6:30pm- Check in/Registration
7:30pm- Evening Merit Badges sessions begin (see schedule for which ones)
10:30pm- Evening Merit Badges sessions end
10:45pm- Recall
11:00pm- TAPS

SATURDAY, 16th Sept
7:00am- Reveille
7:30am- Breakfast...Registration begins
8:45am- Assembly @ Flag Pole
9:00am- Morning Merit Badge Classes start
12:00pm- Morning Merit Badge Classes end
12:15pm- Lunch and cleanup
1:20pm- Assembly - Flag pole
1:30pm- Afternoon Merit Badge sessions begin
4:30pm- Afternoon Merit Badge sessions end
5:30pm- Supper preparations
6:00pm- Supper and cleanup
7:30pm- Troop time
10:45pm- Recall, prepare for bed
11:00pm- TAPS

SUNDAY, 17th Sept
7:30am- Reveille
8:00am- Breakfast and cleanup
9:15am- Worship Service in campsite
9:30am- Break camp, departure


These are the courses arranged; you will pay on the day, not before. Also, Camping is offered Friday night through Sunday morning.

Traffic Safety (AM and PM offered) New

Citizenship in the Nation * (All day) New... FULL !!!!!!!!!! no more spaces left

Citizenship in the Community** (AM and PM offered) FULL !!!!!!!!!! no more spaces left

Citizenship in the World (AM and PM offered)

Plumbing (all day)

First Aid (all day) Must bring personal First Aid Kit

Climbing **+*** (limit 10 boys) Return between 6pm-8pm ($10 deposit for indoor climbing if needed)

Family Life (AM and PM offered) (complete requirement #2 and #3)

Electricity (all day)(limit 10 boys)

Digital Photography (all day) (limit 10 boys) Bring their own digital camera New

Cooking** + (all day) (limit 6 boys) Must bring mess kit and $6.00 New

Toten' Chip (offered throughout the day - times to be announced on site)

Firemen's Chip (offered throughout the day - times to be announced on site)


* Need to write or e-mail to congressman and bring return letter/e-mail with them. Requirements 2, 3, and 8
** Friday night participation (Exempt for Citizenship in the community if you can show you have attended a PTA or Community meeting)
*** Off site instruction will need to bring bag lunch. Transportation to off site provided.
